The LANpoint CE.NET Terminals are available with various built-in factory options.

These options are selected by specific characters in the model number format:

LP5 w x 00-a bb c E, where:

Model letter definitions

w specifies the wireless ethernet connectivity option:

w = 0: Wired Ethernet 10/100BaseT only

w = 5: Wireless Ethernet IEEE802.11b/g 11/54Mbps DSSS radio, cabling & antenna

x specifies the integral display type:

x = 1: ½ VGA Color LCD

x = 3: ½ VGA Color LCD with Touch Screen

a is the digital I/O option:

a = 0: No Digital I/O

a = 1: 8 Isolated Digital Inputs & 8 Fused Mechanical Relay Digital Outputs

a = 2: 8 Isolated Digital Inputs & 4 Fused Mechanical Relay Digital Outputs

a = 3: Isolated Digital Inputs & 2 Fused Mechanical Relay Digital Outputs

bb is custom configurations & keyboard options:

bb = 00: Standard QWERTY Keyboard

bb = 0L: "lock down" kiosk browser instead of standard Microsoft IE browser

c is the memory option:

c = 0: 32MB of RAM + 64MB of Flash

EXAMPLE: LP55300-3000E is a LANpoint CE.NET terminal, factory-instealled RF Ethernet, with ½ VGA color touchscreen, with 8 input & 2 output I/O option, standard QWERTY layout keyboard, 32MB of RAM and 64MB flash.

The factory-installed RF Ethernet card is from Summit Data Communications, implementing IEEE802.11b (11Mbps) and IEEE802.11g (54Mbps).  Every LANpoint CE.NET also has OS drivers for the Sierra Wireless AirCard860 GPRS/GSM/EDGE radio that can be customer-installed.
