EDAS_PDS.pdf EDAS 1000 Series Data Sheet

These free diagnostic/utility programs ship with their respective data acquisition hardware systems and allow you to quickly verify whether or not your Intelligent Instrumentation data acquisition hardware is installed properly and wired correctly. In addition, you can use SYSCHECK software to test and calibrate the data acquisition hardware and to perform modest test and simulation functions.

The SYSCHECK software for EDAS also includes a utility which allows you to easily configure the IP address settings on an EDAS system.

Net Link, EDAS-1003S-4, Version 3.0 provides full support for the EDAS Series 1000 systems and the EDAS CE units and the associated EDAS CE I/O modules.

Net Link, Version 2.2, provides Visual C++ Version 5.0 support, as well as support for the Multifunction High-Resolution 16-bit EDAS.

COM Port Drivers

The EDAS-1032S-1 driver runs under Windows NT/2000/XP and the EDAS-1032S-2 driver runs under Windows 95/98/ME/XP. It allows your PC to recognize the COM ports of a remote EDAS as local COM ports. Using this driver, you can communicate with serial devices which are connected to remote EDAS COM ports using the same programs you use to communicate with these devices when connected to local COM ports.

*Note: the COM-Port drivers currently are not compatible with Windows XP when Service Pack 2 (SP2) is installed.

Intelligent Instrumentaion's EDAS VI Library provides all of the tools necessary for LabVIEW developers to create any data acquisition or control application for any of our family of Ethernet data acquisition systems. Based on our MasterLink Libraries, the VI library consists of 91 low-level VI's which correspond to each function available on an EDAS 1000 Series system.

The Virtual Instrument (VI) Library, EDAS-1026S-1, Version 1.2, provides drivers for our family of EDAS 1000 Series Ethernet Data Acquisition Systems.
This 32-bit library supports National Instruments LabVIEW versions 4.0/5.0/6.0 under Windows9x/NT.
The User Manual is included in the download.

EDAS Support Library for Visual Designer 4.0
(Necessary if using EDAS with Visual Designer 4.0)

To use any EDAS system with Visual Designer 4.0, you must have the 32-bit EDAS Support Library (EDAS-1019S-1). Follow the instructions below to download and install this Library:

1. Verify that you have Visual Designer 4.0 installed.
2. Shut down Visual Designer, if running.
3. Download the library to a temporary directory. This is a
    self-extracting file which will unzip the installation
    program when it is run.
4. Run the file edasvd4.exe to extract the installation files.
5. Run the file setup.exe to install the library.
6. Run Visual Designer.
