III reported sales this year are up over 25% due in part to a strong legacy sales coupled with newer products like the LANpoint 7 and LANpoint Time. According to President Bob Auman, "we have been there for our customers with long lasting legacy products that carried us during difficult economic times. At the same time we have also been ready to help firms expand as the economy improves with new state of the art products."
Acsis, Inc. recently deployed over 150 LANpoint 7 terminals to a large aerospace firm with manufacturing facilities in California and Mexico. This continues a project started nearly 7 years ago with our LANpoint Pro. When the project picked up again earlier this year, III was ready with the latest version LANpoint 7, new and improved and very much compatible with the previous generation.
Acsis solutions include process automation platforms, pre-built processes and workflows, appliances, automated SAP integration and serialization technologies to build in safety, security and efficiency along the supply chain.

The III FACTORYview VAR program still continues to be one of the top programs in data collection. Here are some highlights: free literature, leads, competitive discounting, marcom program and demo program.
Over the years, the LANpoint DOS and CE products have competed against a whole bunch of other guys who are now out of business; anyone remember the MaxiLan product by UBI or Antares 2480 by Intermec?
Today, our biggest competitor for the data collection market place is the desktop computer. It is cheaper, faster, more memory, and has larger displays. Yet, there are many pitfalls to putting a PC on the shop environment. Here are some of the advantages of a LANpoint over a PC.
1. LANpoint products are small and compact and don't take up the space of a desktop and monitor. Easily mounted on the wall and out of the way.
2. No moving parts like spinning hard disks or fans to wear out
3. Consumes less power and generates less heat
4. Users are restricted to the application at hand with no access to games and other Internet hazards
5. Industrial rather than commercial components.
If you own any Intermec Trakker Antares 2480, 2481, 2485 or 2486 terminals, you know that they are no longer being manufactured. If you want to replace terminals or expand your system, what are your options besides making significant changes in client and host application software?
You may want to check out III's LANpoint and FACTORYpoint PRO. The LANpoint PRO was first released in 1996, runs the same version of MSDOS and we have no plans of discontinuing it. Michael Biddell, President of Current Directions says, "The LANpoint Pro is a near drop in replacement for the Anatares 2480 fixed terminal, both in a client server and terminal emulation environments."
